The World Cup is only a few weeks away and as usual, I’ll be running my tipping service.
The Euro and World Cup are tournaments I invest heavily in and spend many hours preparing for. I’ve already spent the first half of this month going through stats, working on models, reading up on every team and listening to podcasts.
Now, the markets have started opening up, so it’s time to announce how it’s going to work this year.
First, let’s go back in time and have a look at previous Euro and World Cups.
The first tournament that I worked with full-time was the World Cup 2010. I had just started as an odds compiler with Betsafe and I got tasked with a set of sidebets for each match.
We all worked out of a small office in Malmø and did nothing but research stats and watch World Cup matches – it was fantastic!
This experience sparked my interest towards exotic sidebets, such as shots on goal, corners, offsides etc. and that has stuck ever since.
Unfortunately, I didn’t keep a public record for my bets in 2010 and 2012, but they were both profitable tournaments.
For the World Cup 2014, I started a fundraiser tipping service and donated all the proceeds to an NGO helping Brazilian street kids. This was also the first public tipping year and it ended with 38 bets and 123,26% payback.
Then for the Euro Cup 2016, I was contacted by Oddsspill and they offered a fixed price to post my picks at their website. This was a good deal, as it meant I was getting a bit for the effort, while still remaining free for everyone to follow.
On Oddsspill, I was tipping under the alias “bigtuna“. I finished the Euro Cup with 81 bets and 120,81% payback.
How to receive my picks
For this year’s World Cup, I’ve made another deal with Oddsspill, which allows you to follow my picks for free.
All picks are going to be written in Danish, but are all easily translated by using Google Translate.
If you want a notification every time there’s a new bet, you can enter your email here and I’ll send you a link to the closed Facebook group, where I’ll be posting the bets as soon as they are on Oddsspill:
How much? Free.
Which bookies? 90% af bets at Kambi (Unibet, 888, LeoVegas etc.) and rest at Bet365, Nordicbet & Danske Spil.
Stakes? I’ll use between 1 and 5 units depending on betvalue and size of odds.
When? Starting now and finishing at the final in Moscow on the 16th of July.
